Tofu Recipe for Tofu "Fingers"


This is a simple, nutritious tofu recipe for Tofu "fingers"!


Simple, easy, yummy, crispy, - did I mention easy?


INGREDIENTS
1 package tofu (about 200 gr.)
3 tbsp. olive oil
1/2 cup flour
3 tbsp. soy sauce
1 cup vegetable broth – I use boiling water and a vegetable soup-cube
Cayenne pepper to taste
Salt and pepper to taste

PREPARATION
1. Cut the tofu into "fingers".

2. Mix the soy sauce into the hot soup.

3. Place the tofu in a single layer in a casserole dish. Pour the soy-sauce and vegetable broth mixture over the tofu and let sit for 10 minutes.

4. Meanwhile, mix the flour, sesame seeds, salt, pepper, cayenne together.

5. Carefully dip each tofu "finger" into the flour mixture. You want to coat them well.

6. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the tofu sticks.

7. Serve with a soy-sauce and honey dipping sauce* or with ketchup (that's how my kids eat them!).
*Soy sauce and honey dipping sauce is made with 1/4 cup honey, 1-3 cup soy sauce, 2 cloves crushed garlic and a tsp. of mustard.
