This fabulous Green Smoothie made with fennel and apple is a super way to start your day. This is delish and easy and really, really good for you!
My friend Ziona came up with this terrific green shake. Apple and Fennel is a great combination and this smoothie is very, very refreshing and tasty!
1 fennel bulb - cut into chunks
1 or 2 apples (or pears) - cored and cut into chunks (do not peel)
2 stalks of celery
juice of 1/3 a lemon
green leaves such as spinach, chard, lettuce, kale - a handful
handful parsley or coriander
chunk of ginger - peeled
1 cup of water
3 ice cubes
OPTIONAL - I like to add a spoonful of chia seeds and flax seeds and sometimes I add a spoonful of coconut oil.
Put all ingredients into your blender and whiz until you have a smooth green shake. Yum Yum Yum
