cultured foods

I am confussed for a long time now with the topic of cultered or fermented food. I have cancer and there are cancer diets, and all the ones I read talk about alkaline foods strongly very little acidic if any. But then comes along many articles saying fermented foods sauerkraut kefir etc. are great for a cancer diet. Can you answer that for me? It would be a nicer life for all of us if there wouldnt be so much greed and fame, so much contradiction. There would be alot less sick people if they could beleive and trust someone truthfull. Yes I am a vegan.

I wish I could answer you with some authority. I wish I knew just the right diet and combination of foods that will help you with your battle and recovery. But I don't have a medical degree and although I believe that vegetarian and vegan diets are healthier than any other, I know that there are conflicting thoughts on fermented and cultured foods. Fermented foods are an important part of a healthy balanced diet because they are extremely rich in enzymes, predigested protein, and (good) bacteria. I have been told that supplementing our diet with fermented foods offers us health benefits such as: reduction of high cholesterol levels in our blood and strengthening and supporting our digestive and immune systems thereby helping our bodies to fight off and prevent diseases, like cancer. But to be perfectly honest - I don't know and am certainly not qualified to answer you. I strongly suggest you consult with a medical nutritionist who can guide you and help you build a healthy vegan diet that will give you all the nutrients and components you need to fight your disease.
